MISSION ROCK

A culmination of over a decade of planning and community input, Mission Rock is a public-private partnership between the San Francisco Giants, Tishman Speyer and the Port of San Francisco, and at full completion delivers:

  • Approximately 1,200 new rental homes -40% affordable to low and middle income individuals and families
  • 8 acres of parks and open space
  • Neighborhood-serving retail
  • Office and manufacturing space
  • Historic Pier 48
  • Sea Level Rise adaptations
  • New Jobs with an emphasis on local hire and local business enterprise
  • Public access improvements along the Bay Trail, connecting the Northern and Southern waterfronts

Phase One

Constructed over three to four phases, the initial phase of the project includes critical infrastructure, utilities, sidewalks, bike facilities, streets and more:

  • The expansion of China Basin Park to become a major waterfront destination
  • Two architecturally inspired residential buildings (A&F)
  • Two pioneering office buildings (B&G)
  • Neighborhood-serving retail along the ground floors of each building
